Named in honor of Dr. L. Vernon Caine, tenth president of the College, the Student Center was opened in the fall of 1967 to provide new and enlarged recreational and extracurricular facilities. The first floor has a bookstore, a grill, lounge, a mail room, the Student Activities Center, and offices for student organizations. The second floor contains the Templeton Counseling Center, Residence Life, and the Dean of Student's office.
