Illinois College will hold a Holocaust Remembrance Convocation on Monday, April 28, at 11 a.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel.
The United States Congress established the Days of Remembrance as the nation’s annual commemoration of the Holocaust and created the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum as a permanent living memorial to the victims. This year, Holocaust remembrance week is April 27-May 4. The Museum designated “Confronting the Holocaust: American Responses” as the theme for the 2014 observance.
Illinois College students and faculty, in collaboration with professor Adrienne Hacker Daniels, will participate in readings, with music featuring pianist Garrett Allman, clarinetist Douglas Phillips and cellist Susan Phillips.
This presentation is free and open to the public. For more information contact Hacker Daniels at 217-245-3465 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
