With 14 years of experience in international development in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, Julie Bodam Macartney currently serves as the special assistant to the vice president of international programs and operations at CARE U.S.A. The mission of CARE U.S.A. is to serve individuals and families in the poorest communities in the world. Julie is responsible for supporting the vice president in the execution of all aspects of the department’s mandate including providing day-to-day support to the deputy regional directors and six regional management units in Latin America, West Africa, Southern Africa, East and Central Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
