Brad Grueter ’98
Majored in biology
Assistant Professor, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine-Anesthesiology Research Division.
Brad is the principal investigator researching mechanisms underlying
motivational learning and the details of how these mechanisms are
modified by experience and pathophysiological disease states.
“IC taught me the valuable skills and work ethic required to
multitask and apply practical knowledge to complex biological
questions,” Brad says. “The nurturing of a drive for excellence and
leadership I received at IC has been well suited for a successful career
in biomedical science thus far.”
At Vanderbilt, Grueter also trains graduate and medical students in the field of biomedical research.
“I hope to be as influential to my students as the professors in the biology program at IC were to me.”
