Jacksonville, Ill. – The Illinois College Department of Music will present its annual “Christmas on the Hilltop” concert Saturday, December 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel.
The candlelit evening will be filled with the sound of beautiful voices as the Illinois College choirs perform beloved carols and new holiday favorites. This year’s theme, “Wondrous Mystery,” will include music and texts which explore the mysterious story and meanings of the season. A variety of musical styles will be presented, from the ancient to the modern, offering something for the whole family.
Directed by Abby Musgrove, the choirs will be joined by other IC faculty performers as well as members of the Illinois College Wind Ensemble. Over 80 musicians will create an enchanting evening celebrating the splendor and warmth of the holidays.
