||The Department of Music invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor to begin fall 2014. Director of Bands. Full-time tenure-track position. Responsibilities include conducting the College’s Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble, teaching courses in instrumental music education, and overseeing the development of the instrumental music program. Other courses taught in rotation may include First Year Seminar, Music Theory or courses of interest (Studio Instruction, Jazz History, Music and Technology, etc.). Additional responsibilities include working with the department and admissions on recruitment and tours. Candidates should have an earned doctorate (DMA or Ph.D, ABD considered). Candidates with K-12 teaching experience will be preferred. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience.
