Wind Ensemble presents winter concert


The Illinois College Wind Ensemble will present its winter concert, “EPICS: music of heroism, battle, mystery, and love” on Friday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel.

Andrew Salyer, a junior at Illinois College, will be the soloist in the finale from “Symphony No. 3” by Camille Saint-Saens which is the main theme in the film, “Babe.” Music from “The Lion King” and from the video games, Halo, Civilization IV and Kingdom Hearts will be performed. Finally, the Illinois College Concert Choir will join the Wind Ensemble on stage to sing “Duel of the Fates” from “Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.”

The Concert is free and open to the public.
