Paul Findley honors the Steuers with holiday reception
Former Congressman and Illinois College alumnus Paul Findley hosted a holiday reception in honor of retiring Illinois College President Axel Steuer and First Lady Loreli on Saturday, December, 15.

The reception was held in the Findley Congressional Office and the Khalaf Al Habtoor Leadership Center located in Whipple Hall on the college campus. During a brief program, Findley addressed the gathering that included Illinois College Board Members, administration, faculty, staff and friends of the college. He spoke about the contributions the Steuers have made to Illinois College and how his life has been enriched by their friendship.

Last year President Steuer announced his plans to retire after the 2012-2013 academic year, making it 10 years at Illinois College.

Tours were also given of the Findley Archives by Curator Claire Jerry.
