Community Service Blitz
Community Service Blitz

Since 1993, new students at Illinois College have engaged in a Community Service Blitz during their first week of school. New students and faculty members spend a day immersed in the Jacksonville community making a difference and joining in the tradition of sharing and caring. It is a great chance to build bridges and become engaged in the surrounding community.

First-year students are also encouraged to participate in the community service program throughout the school year. A variety of different service opportunities are planned with a wide range of groups and agencies -- Special Olympics, National Down Syndrome Society, American Heart Walk, the Underground Railroad site - Woodlawn Farm, Habitat for Humanity, etc.
