Music Department’s "Bands In Concert" set for October 26


The Illinois College Department of Music presents "Bands In Concert" on Friday, October 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel. The concert will include performances by the Illinois College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble.

The Jazz Ensemble will perform Pop hit selections of “Forget You,” Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep” and “Lean On Me” from Bill Whithers. Other selections in the program will include Jazz selections of Woody Herman’s “Big Dawg” and “Cole Minor Blues.”

The Wind Ensemble will be performing classic American compositions for band. These include “Alla Barocco” by Caesar Giovannini, “An American Portrait” by James Swearingen and “River of Life” by Steven Reineke.

Jazz Ensemble Director Marty McCandless and Wind Ensemble Director Ann Marie Stahel invite the public to this free concert.
