Illinois College welcomes new faculty members
Illinois College has announced the appointment of 13 new faculty members for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Dr. Emily Adams has been appointed to the part-time position of visiting assistant professor of modern languages - French for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Adams received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Tulane University and a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Brent Chandler has been appointed to the position of assistant professor of chemistry. Chandler received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Princeton University.

Gary Cline has been appointed to the part-time position of instructor in management and organizational leadership for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Cline received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a juris doctor degree from the University of Illinois College of Law.

Megan Fedor has been appointed to the position of instructor in psychology. Fedor received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Virginia Tech University, a Master of Science degree in experimental psychology from Villanova University and will soon receive a Ph.D. in educational psychology from Michigan State University.

Dr. Jan Figa has been appointed as the director of Schewe Library and associate professor of library science. Figa received ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from the University of Central Florida, a Master of Science degree from the University of Oxford Mathematical Institute, a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Science degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Sara Genetin-Pilawa has been appointed to the part-time position of instructor in education for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Genetin-Pilawa received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and German, and a Master of Arts degree in curriculum and teaching from Michigan State University.

George Hudson has been appointed as visiting instructor in chemistry for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Hudson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University and will soon receive a Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Dr. Megan Milks has been appointed as visiting assistant professor of English for the 2012-13 academic year. Milks received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and cognitive science from the University of Virginia, a Master of Arts degree in literature and fiction writing from Temple University and a Ph.D. in English studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Dr. Zach Mural has been appointed to the part-time position of visiting assistant professor of psychology for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year. Mural received a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Eastern Michigan University, a Master of Arts degree in youth development from Concordia University, and a Ph.D. in educational psychology and educational technology from Michigan State University.

Andrew Nahlik has been appointed to the position of instructor in economics. Nahlik received a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and physics from University of Central Missouri, a Master of Arts degree in economics and will soon receive a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Florida at Gainesville.

Dr. Kallia Wright has been appointed to the position of assistant professor of communication and rhetorical studies. Wright received a Bachelor of Arts degree in media and communication from the University of the West Indies, a Master of Science degree in journalism from E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University and a Ph.D. in communication studies from the School of Communication Studies at Ohio University.

Heather Yates has been appointed as visiting instructor in political science for the 2012-2013 academic year. Yates received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Kansas, a Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and will soon receive a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Kansas.

Mohammad Zannoun has been appointed as visiting instructor in sociology for the 2012-2013 academic year. Zannoun received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Birzeit University in Ramallah, Palestine, a Master of Arts degree in sociology from the University of Arkansas and will soon receive a Ph.D. in sociology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
