U.S. Diversity/Global Awareness Embedded Experience
Course Guidelines
1. Self-explanatory.
2. “Some sessions in the fourth hour of the first-year seminar” is defined as at least three meetings, linked to a convocation/speaker/event, and including the student affairs mentor.
3. In order to qualify as a US Diversity Embedded Experience course, it must identify as a primary learning goal the exploration and investigation of various cultures and elements of diversity within the United States, appropriate to the discipline of that course. This course must include some assessment of that learning goal.
4. In order to qualify as a Global Awareness Embedded Experience course, it must identify as a primary learning goal the exploration and investigation of cultures and peoples beyond national borders, appropriate to the discipline of that course. This course must include some assessment of that learning goal.
