Senior Capstone Experience
Definition

The Senior Capstone Experience creates an environment that offers an opportunity to use skills, methodology and/or knowledge to integrate elements of a student’s liberal arts education.

Intended Learning Outcomes

At the completion of a Senior Capstone Experience students will

demonstrate integration of liberal arts elements through creation and presentation of an artifact(s) or a portion of a larger artifact using the necessary skills, methodologies, and/or knowledge.

Examples of artifacts include but are not limited to individual and/or group performances, papers, presentations, exhibits, and projects.

As per general education guidelines, a senior capstone must include Writing Extensive Embedded Experience and Speaking Extensive Embedded Experience components, which may or may not be part of the artifacts.
