Spring choir concert centers on “True Blue”

The Illinois College Department of Music presents its spring choir concert, “True Blue,” on Sunday, April 29, at 4 p.m. in Rammelkamp Chapel.

The concert will include music of various styles and will feature songs about truth of all types, and blue of all shades according to Assistant Professor of Music Abby Musgrove. The Illinois College Concert Choir will perform along with "The Chamber Singers,” the men’s a cappella group, “Blue Tie Affair,” and the newly formed women’s group, “Sapphire.”

“There is something for everyone at this concert,” explained Musgrove, who will also be conducting the concert, “from Mozart to Madrigals, Bach to Barbershop, Swing and Blues to Cindy Lauper and Rick Springfield, we have really got a variety.”

The concert is free and open to the public.
