Illinois College invites college-bound students and their families to visit the campus of the liberal arts college for Fall Preview Days on Friday, November 11, and Friday, December 2.
Pam Birdsell, campus visit coordinator, said each event is designed for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in beginning or furthering their college search.
“Our Fall Preview Days provide great opportunities for prospective students to tour our beautiful campus,” Birdsell said. “We look forward to getting to know these students and their parents, and to provide answers to a variety of questions regarding all aspects of the Illinois College experience.”
Registration on both days will take place in the Caine Student Center starting at 10:30 a.m. Before registration, visitors have the option of meeting with members of the Office of Athletics staff. Beginning at 10 a.m., coaches will be present to share information about the 20 varsity sports sponsored by the college and provide details on intramural opportunities for students. Time will also be set aside after lunch for prospective students and parents to meet with Illinois College faculty to learn more about the college’s 45 majors and pre-professional programs.
Birdsell said visitors will also benefit from a presentation on the admission process and the opportunities for financial aid and scholarships available to all students. A tour of the campus, with visits to residence halls, Schewe Library, academic buildings and the Bruner Fitness and Recreation Center is also part of the day’s program.
There is no cost to attend the programs, but prospective students are encouraged to contact the Illinois College Office of Admission in advance at 217.245.3030. Registration can also be completed online by visiting
