Meet our Students

Hello, my name is Brandon Coniglio. I am originally from Belvidere, Illinois. I am a senior majoring in theatre and minoring in art. I was recently seen in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? (Eddie) at New Salem's Theatre in the Park, but some of my other credits include Good N' Plenty (John/Albert), Picnic (Alan), and The Sound of Music (Rolf) at the Playhouse on the Square. At Illinois College, I’ve been a part of multiple TheatreWorks productions such as Angels in America (Joe), Frankenstein (Alphonse), Bonnie and Clyde: The Musical (Bud), Terminal Cafe (BB), and The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Shauva). Aside from acting, I am the co-captain of the improv troupe PCP (President Carter's Patrol) as well as an active member of Phi Alpha Literary Society. I plan to study improv at The Second City in Chicago after graduation.
My name is Tyler Robles. I am a junior theatre major here at Illinois College. As a theatre major, I am concentrating in technical theatre. In my time here at IC, I have worked on a number of shows as master electrician and designing lights, a couple of which include Angels in America, Frankenstein, and Playboy of the Western World. I have also stage-managed Frankenstein, as well as assistant stage-managed Bonnie and Clyde. In addition, I have run lights for the Jacksonville Theatre Guild and Playhouse on the Square. I look forward to doing more theatre in the next years of my time here at Illinois College.

Hi there, my name is Mary Swick. I am a double major in theatre and psychology. My focus in theatre is stage management, and I am the IC TheatreWorks Business Manager. I have already been able to stage manage and assistant stage manage three shows here at IC. Making the connections between theatre and psychology has been a wonderful experience for me. I am so excited to spend the next two years growing at Illinois College.

Hi my name is Cole Litwiller, and I am a sophomore at Illinois College. I am double majoring in Theatre and Business. So far I have been in Richard III, Playboy of the Western World, and Frankenstein. I have also participated in the senior directed one-acts as an actor and a stage manager, and I am the assistant stage manager for Angels in America. I'm also a member of the improv troupe LSD (Lincoln's Security Detail). Being a theatre major has allowed me to find what I really enjoy. I have found by coming to Illinois College that I have a passion for acting. I love the program and am looking forward to another two years here at Illinois College.

Hello! I’m Squire Prince, I am a theatre and music major, with a fine arts administration minor. I was a late bloomer on the stage, but ever since then I have found myself awestruck by the impact of the stage and its beauty. From the moment I walked onto the stage for my first audition in high school for Shakespeare’s A Midsummer’s Night Dream, I knew the theatre was for me. Ever since then, I have never left. IC has provided for me not only a new theatre to call home, but also a supportive team of educators to guide me in becoming a better actor. If it had not been for the support and guidance of the IC theatre department instructors, I would not have become as diverse in the field of theatre as I am now. Nor would I have found an untapped well of confidence that has gotten me through a lot of tests and trials. Theatre is not just a big room with a stage—it’s where you can find yourself. I thank IC’s Theatre Department for not only helping me find different characters in myself, but also helping me to find out who I am, and who I want to become.
I'm Maximillian Valdez and a junior at Illinois College. I wandered to Jacksonville from Tuscon, Arizona. I've recently performed in Angels in America, Cloud Tectonics, Frankenstein, Richard III, and Good N' Plenty. I am also co-captain of the LSD improv troupe. I'm a member of Phi Alpha at IC.
