Illinois College Computer Club Members Compete in Programming Contest
Three members of the Illinois College Computer Club (ICCC) participated in the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Mid-Central USA Programming Contest on Saturday, November 6, 2010. There were 142 teams participating at nine different college and university sites throughout the region. The Illinois College students were one of 22 teams participating at the University of Illinois Springfield where they finished 15th. Senior Joshua Niederer from Havana, junior Daniel Westbrook from Jacksonville and sophomore Jacob Phillips from Golden made up the Illinois College team.

Professor of Computer Science James Streib commented, “I am very proud of the team this year. They provided a good foundation for the future, and we hope to have two teams competing in next year’s contest.”
