Outside Scholarship Deadlines in January 2017

Deadline: 1/1/2017. Any current, full-time student enrolled in an accredited university or college in the United States, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. There is no age requirement for scholarship applicants. Eligible students will write an essay of 750 words or more about a design, advertisement, creative work, or form of new media that influenced their perspective on a social issue. Deadline: 1/1/2017. Any student can apply for this scholarship. In order to participate, the student must record a 3 minute video of themselves responding to the question, "How can technology change the way small businesses are run?" Deadline: 1/1/2017. Currently enrolled students are eligible to apply for the scholarship by submitting a 500 word essay discussing financial challenges they faced growing up and how the scholarship will help the student achieve future financial goals. $1,000
 
Deadline: 1/1/2017.  Currently enrolled students who are also in the military or whose parent is currently serving in the military are eligible to apply for the scholarship.  Students are asked to submit a 200 word essay discussing how the military has positively impacted their life and provide statements discussing educational and career goals. $2,500
 
Deadline: 1/1/17. Students of any age are eligible to apply as long as they are currently majoring in any medically-related degree or attending any medically-related certification program. To apply, students must complete an online application and submit a minimum 2,000-word essay describing how the field of bariatric surgery will evolve over the next 5 years. Warren & Kallianos Scholarship
Deadline: 1/15/2017. To apply, you must be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or university, or you must be an upperclassmen in high school planning on attending a 2 or 4 year college or university. The scholarship is awarded to the winner of an essay competition on distracted driving. For more information, the student can visit the scholarship's website. Up to $1,500
 
SEOAdivse Scholarship Program
Deadline:  1/21/2017. You must be 18 years or older, enrolled in a full-time university in a graduate or undergraduate program, have at least a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, and be a citizen or permanent resident of the USA (currently living in USA). The Mortgage Reports - Business Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship
Deadline:  1/29/2017. Offered to students entering or currently pursuing an educational program related to business or finance. Students must be at least 17 years of age and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. All applicants must submit a 600 to 1,000-word essay explaining what they hope to accomplish during their career in a business or finance field and how the scholarship would fulfill those goals. Deadline: 1/31/2017. Currently enrolled students with a passion for sports, especially golf, are encouraged to submit an essay discussing how technology is affecting sports.  $1,000
