Outside Scholarship Deadlines in June 2016

Deadline: 6/1/2016. The Attorney’s at KaplunMarx certainly appreciate the value of a good education, but we also understand the cost. To help students ease their financial burden we sponsor the annual KaplunMarx Scholarship of $1,000. To qualify for the KaplunMarx Scholarship you must be an aspiring or current college student and you must produce an essay discussing what law you would change to make the US a safer place to live. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016. Currently enrolled students are encouraged to submit a 500-1000 word essay based on one of the two prompts provided on the website.  Students must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and plan to attend law school or attending law school. $500 - $1000.
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016. Incoming and currently enrolled students who will be enrolled in the fall 2016 are encouraged to submit a 500 word essay discussing distracted driving and smartphone use.  $1,000.
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016. Incoming and currently enrolled students are encouraged to submit a 500 - 700 word essay describing the career they hope to pursue and how education will contribute to the American Dream.  Preference goes to naturalized or first-generation American citizens.  $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016. Students enrolled in an accredited college or university for the fall of 2016 who have demonstrated perseverance in the face of adversity. All applicants must submit an essay between 500 and 1000 words in length entitled “My Road to Resilience.” High school seniors need to submit a copy of a high school school transcript and the results of a college entrance exam like the SAT or ACT. Current college students must submit copies of transcripts from any colleges attended. $2,000
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016. To apply students must be enrolled at an accredited college or university in an undergraduate, degree-seeking or certificate program or be a senior in high school accepted as an undergraduate student in college. Students must submit a 500-1000 word essay on what they believe is the biggest threat to social justice or public safety and what can be done to limit that threat. All applications must be submitted online. $1,500
 
Deadline: 6/1/2016.  Currently enrolled students with a minimum GPA of 2.8 are encouraged to submit an essay discuss the housing market in the next 5 years. $750
 
Deadline: 6/3/2016. Students who have completed at least 15 credit hours are encouraged to submit a 1000-1500 word essay discussing the use of personality type systems.  Prompts are provided. $2,000
 
MCS Community Services Scholarship Program
Deadline: 6/6/2016. Any student may apply who meets a low-income level and lives in the Morgan County area. Morgan, Cass, and Scott Counties are all included for eligibility for the scholarship. In case of questions, an individual must call (217) 243- 9404. up to $6,000
 
Deadline:  6/15/2016.  Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. For more information please visit the scholarship's website. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. High School students with a minimum 2.5 GPA are encouraged to create a video discussing distracted driving or self-driving vehicles. Video must be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long. $2,500
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. Undergraduate students intending to enroll in law school with a minimum 3.0 GPA are encouraged to submit an essay of less than 1000 words discussing community involvement or distracted driving.  $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student who has dealt with MS either themselves or with a loved one. In order to participate, the student must share their personal experience with MS in a 500-1,000 word essay on a provided topic that is on the scholarships website. Students can apply online via the link provided. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. Incoming students for fall of 2016, who are US Citizens, are eligible for the scholarship. Preference will be given to applicants who are female, have a disability, or belong to one of the following minority groups: Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian American/Pacific Islander, Native American/American Indian. Each student must submit an original essay (600 – 800 words) on the topic outlined on the scholarship's website. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. Students who have been affect by leukemia, either personally or a loved one, are encouraged to apply for this scholarship by submitting a 500 to 1000 word essay based on one of the prompts provided on the website. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. Students who have been diagnosed with diabetes of any type with a minimum 3.0 GPA are encouraged to submit a 500 - 1000 word essay discussing one of the prompts provided on the website. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. Students who have been affected by heart disease, either personally or by a loved one, with a minimum 3.0 GPA are encouraged to submit a 500 - 1000 word essay discussing one of the prompts on the website.  $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/15/2016. All veterans of the US Armed Forces are encouraged to apply for this scholarship by submitting a 500 word essay outlining your experience in the military and your educational goals. $1,000
 
Deadline:  6/15/2016. CourseMinded Online Scholarship is a highly competitive award for those interested in online teaching & online learning. It's available for high school and college undergraduate students who are passionate about online learning. Students applying must list the online courses they've taught, have taken, or intend on taking, as well as why they are interested in online learning and what they think the future of online courses will look like. Deadline: 6/30/2016. Excel University is proud to offer a scholarship award to outstanding accounting students currently enrolled at an accredited two or four year college or University in the United States. In order to apply, the student must visit the scholarship's website. $500

Deadline: 6/30/2016. High school and currently enrolled college students are encouraged to submit an inspiration board of your most designed seasonal outfit ideas for spring and summer, along with a 200 - 300 word statement describing your board. $1,000
 
Deadline: 6/30/2016. Art, Graphic Design, and Fashion Majors with a minimum 3.7 GPA  are encouraged to design your own T-shirt and write a 200 - 300 word statement explaining your design. $2,500
 
Deadline: 6/30/2016. This scholarship aims to reward a student demonstrating exemplary financial awareness. Applicants must discuss financial responsibility in the form of budgeting, couponing, frugality, and/or personal finance via a short essay submission. Any current or incoming student, as well as any post-grad (graduate school, post-doctoral, law, etc.) student, can apply. $5,000
 
Deadline: 6/30/2016. Female students who are pursing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences (geology, geophysics, hydrology, meteorology, physical oceanography, planetary geology, or earth science education) are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.  $6,000
 
Deadline:  6/30/2016.  The contest is open to all students from any part of the globe, but that individual must be between the ages of 20-25 years old. In order to participate, the student must write a 1,000- 1.500- word essay that addresses the topic of a higher education model.
