Office of Development and Alumni Relations

Alumni House | 1201 Mound Avenue | 217.245.3046
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is responsible for Illinois College’s fundraising, alumni engagement and constituent relations programs.

Vision
The development and alumni relations team will cultivate inspired, meaningful and productive relationships as Illinois College strives to become an international model for inspiring achievement and empowering students to make a difference in the world.

Mission
The development and alumni relations team serves the Illinois College community in fulfilling its mission and realizing its aspirations in three ways:

:: we communicate and live the College’s mission, vision, priorities and goals,
:: we build meaningful partnerships with external and internal constituents,
:: we secure ever-increasing financial resources, while we steward and engage a growing number of alumni and friends.

The Development Division organizes all fundraising efforts at the College focusing on annual support and long-term support. Annual gifts support the IC Fund – Illinois College’s unrestricted annual fund which directly impacts each student on campus through scholarships, global travel and academics – as well as the Illinois College Varsity Club, a giving club that supports the Office of Intercollegiate Athletics and the continued advancement of the College’s student-athletes. The development area cultivates long-term gifts to fund building projects and increase the College’s endowment.

The Alumni Relations Division is responsible for engaging alumni through events across the country, class reunions and other activities during Homecoming and Commencement weekends. The office maintains records on all current and former Illinois College students. All individuals who attended Illinois College for a minimum of one semester are members of the Illinois College Alumni Association, of which there are currently more than 9,500 members. The Alumni Association’s purpose is to strengthen the connection between alumni and the College, and to foster a spirit of fellowship and goodwill while supporting the College’s mission and vision. The Alumni Association Board of Directors are elected annually by the entire alumni body.

The Office of Development and Alumni Relations is housed in the Alumni House at the corner of Mound and Lincoln Avenues. This house was purchased in 2013 by the Alumni Association to provide a dedicated space to welcome alumni to campus, as well as engage alumni at events throughout the year.
