Illinois College's 2010 volleyball team may look a little different for some who have been around the past couple years. It is a new year and we are committed to making it a memorable one! The first thing you may notice when you step into Sherman Gymnasium this year is our new look. We hope that the next thing you notice is the attitude that we bring to the gym. The Lady Blues are ready to take this program back to the top of the Midwest Conference.
Lady Blues Volleyball has a firm foundation with three pillars that hold true for our program: Faith, class and excellence.
:: We must have faith in each other, the coaching staff, and Illinois College faculty and staff as a whole if we are going to be a successful program that supports and leans on one another. We have faith that every person in this program is giving her absolute best at all times.
:: We are committed to being a program that holds itself above reproach in any situation. We carry ourselves with
class at all times ... in the way we speak, react and interact with our teammates as well as anyone we come in contact with throughout the season. We hope to be a program that future Lady Blues and alumni are proud to be a part of.
:: We aim to be a program of
excellence on and off the court. We strive for greatness in the classroom, knowing that the privilege of playing intercollegiate sports can easily be stripped away without focus and determination off the court. We are also determined to be excellent on the court by working hard day after day toward a common goal.
