Admission to Illinois College is competitive. The application deadline for international students who wish to enroll in the Fall semester (August) is June 1st. The application deadline for applying for the Spring semester (January) is November 1st. Illinois College operates on rolling admission. It is important to complete your application for admission as early as possible. The Admission Committee will review your completed application promptly and notify you regarding their decision. The specific minimum requirements for international students include:
Step 1 :: Submit free application for admission
Step 2 :: Submit ACT and/or SAT test scores
:: Minimum combined New SAT scores of 1410, with a minimum critical reading score of 450,
:: Minimum ACT composite of 20, with a minimum English score of 20

Step 3 :: Submit TOEFL scores
:: TOEFL scores are required for students whose native language is not English. All international
applicants whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a
Foreign Language (TOEFL). The TOEFL requirement applies also to students whose courses
may have been taught in English (in Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Philippines, Tanzania,
etc.), but whose native language is not English.
:: Minimum TOEFL score of 79 iBT (a paper-based exam score of 550 or a computer-
based exam score of 213) is required admission to Illinois College. TOEFL scores more
than two years old will not be accepted.
:: The TOEFL institution code for Illinois College is 1315.
Step 4 :: Submit two letters of recommendation
:: At least two letters of recommendation, in English, from teachers who can attest to your
academic ability and English language ability.
Step 5 :: Show academic achievement in secondary school
:: Successful international students will have a secondary/college background that would indicate
a high probability of success at Illinois College both in terms of grades received and types of
courses completed.
Step 6 :: Submit health forms and records
:: Health history form must be completed by both the student and the healthcare provider.
