About Us

What are the language houses and floors?
The Illinois College language houses and floors offer a place where students can immerse themselves in another language and culture. By living alongside native speakers of German, Spanish, or Japanese, students prepare themselves to live and work in the global, multicultural society of the 21st Century. Students and native speakers of the language, along with professors, develop cultural activities for the Illinois College and Jacksonville communities. Currently, Illinois College has a Spanish House, a German House, and a Japanese House.
