BreakAways are group trips, led by IC faculty, which take place when classes are not in session. These trips have a specific focus and are from ten days to three weeks long. On average four different BreakAways are offered during any one academic year. Destinations are announced in March of the preceding academic year. In order to participate, students need to apply and also register for the respective course during the semester when the trip preparations take place.
The 2017 - 2018 academic year will be the BreakAway year to the islands, with destinations from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico to the Baltic Sea!
