Professional Development Program

Illinois College’s Professional Development program is designed to accommodate the continuing education and professional development needs of in-service teachers.  Professional Development courses will provide in-service teachers with opportunities to grow as educators and to more effectively meet the needs of all students by offering courses that: (a) deepen teachers’ knowledge of subjects they teach; (b) sharpen teaching skills used in the classroom; and (c) address new developments in the profession, and in education in general.  In-service teachers in these courses will examine educational theory and research and will be guided through the development of applications to enhance their current educational practices.
