Why do you need an NetID Account? 

Every Illinois College student is assigned a NetID when they start their freshman year. The NetID is used to securely log in to the network.

Students pick up their NetID information during the Summer Orientation Sessions.  If you did not attend a summer orientation session and want to know your Illinois College NetID information, please contact the Help Desk at 245-3416 or e-mail helpdesk@ic.edu.

Students can request to have a network folder to securely login and save files to.  This folder is accessible through NetID login and is not available for others eyes.   Information on the network is backed up every business day.
